CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

The college attaches as much importance to the general character and behavior of the students as to their progress in curricular studies. The college therefore expects the students to so conduct themselves, both inside and outside the campus as to be worthy of the best and the highest ideals of conduct and action in public life.

Once the student is given provisional admission by concerned state authority the candidate has to complete the further admission formalities in the college.

The student should attend the orientation programme along with his/her parents

The student should regularly attend the classes(theory/class)as per the time table

The student has to put in minimum required attendance as per rules and regulation of the course/as prescribed by the DrNTRUHS.

The student should obey general rules of the discipline of the college.

The student should not involve in any extraneous activity.

The student should not involve in any protest, fight ,disputes or bring outsiders to the college campus.

The student should be cordial with senior students and junior students and classmates.

He/ She should behave respectfully with teachers and other staff of the college.

The student should co-operate for the promotion of good ambience and academic environment in the college.

The student should wear apron and follow the safety measure while doing in the lab.

TEACHING LEARNING ACTIVITY

The main activity of the student is to learn theoretical knowledge from theory classes and skill and hand-on training in practical classes as per the instructions of the teachers in various subjects.

In addition to the main classroom teaching activity, the student also shall participate in various extra-curricular activities such as attending conference/seminar/guest lecture/workshop/presenting oral/poster presentations, elocution/essay writing /group discussion/quiz within the college and outside the college.

The student also can participate in various sports and cultural activities conducted inside/outside the college

The student can also participate in social awareness programme like health camps, blood donation camps, health awareness camps, yoga programme and other related activities in the college.

RAGGING

  • The student should not involve in ragging activity.
  • Ragging is a punishable act under various acts and rules
  • Any student found to involve in ragging is viewed seriously and action initiated as per rules and existing acts.

DRESS CODE

  1. 1. 1st BDS: Light blue colour shirt and Navy blue pant
  2. 2. 2 nd BDS: Grey colour shirt and black pant
  3. 3. Address: Rekha Garments, Opposite to Ucon Plaza, Park Road, Kurnool.
  4. 4. 3rd BDS, 4 th BDS & Interns :
  5. 4. Boys: Pant, Shirt tucked correctly in and shoes.
  6. 5. T-Shirts and Chappals are strictly prohibited.
  7. 6. Girls: Chudidars or sarees and decent shoes or Chappals. No Jeans or T-shirts are permitted.
  8. 7. Aprons and Nameplates:
  9. 8. White either full hands or half hands neatly pressed aprons is mandatory.
  10. 9. Students have to wear the nameplate all the time in both practical and clinical hours.
  11. 10. Students who do not follow the dress code and not wearing aprons and nameplates will not be allowed to enter classes or clinics.
  12. 11. College will provide ID cards, hepatitis vaccination, student group insurance.

Duties and Responsibilities of Employees

Teaching Faculty/Principal:

• The primary task of the teacher is to teach theory, practicals for BDS & MDS students and thesis guidances for MDS students as per the schedule and syllabus.

• If required should engage more number of classes as and when needed to meet the academic demand.

• Apart from these teaching activities, they should also attend the duties of invigilation, valuation, question paper setting, examinations, conduct seminars, symposia, workshops, taking charge of laboratory/ class/library, museum, tour/training etc., guiding the students for project work/ paper publications/ presentations/ debates/ quizzes/ exhibitions, sports/ cultural and social events and any other related activity.

• They should shoulder the responsibility primarily the completion and revision of syllabus in time, besides accomplishing the tasks like achieving good results, ranks, prizes, awards and rewards.

• They should also endeavour for getting Research and infrastructural grants.

• They should also actively take-up any other responsibility/assignment to improve the college performance as decided by the Management/ Director/ Principal from time to time.

Non Teaching staff:

• All the non-teaching staff have to primarily perform the duty assigned to them viz., office and administration, laboratories, reception, clinical assistance, library, stores, general maintenance etc., with due diligence and in time.

• They should also take-up all other works assigned by the Director/ Principal/ Management as and when necessary.

CODE OF CONDUCT RULES FOR TEACHING AND NON TEACHING STAFF

• Every Employee of the college shall be devoted to his/her duty and shall maintain absolute integrity, honesty, discipline, impartiality and a sense of decency.

• No Employee of the college shall behave in a manner which is unbecoming or derogatory to the prestige of the college.

• No Employee of the college shall, by any public utterance, written or otherwise, criticize any policy or action of the Management of the college or shall he/she participate in any such criticism.

• No Employee of the college shall, in performing his official duties, act in a discourteous or discriminatory manner with the colleague or students and shall not indulge in sexual harassment in any form either directly or by implication.

• No Employee of the college should remain absent from the place of work without the permission of the Departmental Head or Director/Principal.

• No Employee of the college should involve in eve-teasing (sexual harassment) in the college the premises or in the transport vehicles provided by the college.

• No Employee of the college should Demand or accept a bribe from students or other employees for the official or regular works in the college.

• No Employee of the college should Demand particular facilities or behave indecently during the examination work in the college or during other duty hours of the college.

Note: we shall consider act/actions of the employee, which is not covered in the above and damaging the image of the college as an act of misconduct. The college will take appropriate action as per the general service rules.

G Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital International Student Cell

G Pulla Reddy Dental College (GPRDC& H) has recently started an International Student cell. We have globally acclaimed practices in teaching, learning. Now we are offering a cordial welcome to international students, who wish to join under graduation and post-graduation courses. Rules framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admissions of International students to Dental courses (BDS, MDS) offered at our institute.

Guidelines for admission of foreign/international students

  1. 1. Should be an international student (Foreign Students/Non-Resident Indians (NRI)).
  2. 2. For international students, the student visa is mandatory (not mandatory for NRI students).
  3. 3. Students have to obtain prior security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the approval of Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and this must be on the student visa/research visa endorsed to this institution.

Eligibility

Foreign citizens, Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Holders, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and NRI-sponsored candidates (sponsored by NRI parents or brother/sister of parents* or brother/sister of the candidate* or grandparents of the candidate*OR spouse of the candidate*). The sponsor must be a foreign national or hold NRI status.

Only those students who have qualified from foreign universities or Boards of Higher Education recognized as equivalent by the ‘Association of Indian Universities’ (AIU) are eligible for admission.

Admission of international students

International Students Cell (ISC) of GPRDC will conduct admissions for International students G.Pilla Reddy Dental College & Hospital. Eligible applicants need to certify that the medium of instruction for the qualifying examination passed is English. For applicants who have undertaken their studies in a language other than English need to have a valid IELTS/TOEFL score. Once this is submitted, the final admission is confirmed.

The International students will have to pay the fees in US dollars or equivalent in Indian rupees.

Procedure for admissions

  1. 1. International students should apply for admitting in this institute before the beginning of the program.
  2. 2. For this the candidate may contact the Admissions Executive officer, Administrative wing, GPR Dental College & Hospital.
  3. 3. The students shall qualify in the NEET examination for admission into BDS/MDS programs.
  4. 4. Get the ‘Provisional Admission Offer Letter’ from the Academic Executive Office, to obtain the VISA (on payment of a non-refundable advance amount of 30% of the total annual fee).
  5. 5. Submit the ‘Provisional Admission Offer Letter’ to the Indian Embassy of the respective country for obtaining a Student VISA.
  6. 6. Report at GPRDCH for admission. Submit the below-mentioned documents (in original along with the attested photocopies) and get them verified. Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination (10 +2) for UG and BDS certificate for PG o Mark list of the qualifying examination o Student VISA in original o A photocopy of the Passport- duly attested by a Notary. Note: We will return the original certificates to the student immediately after making an endorsement to this effect.
  7. 7. Students are required to undergo the medical fitness examination and get the medical fitness certificate. As per government rules, all international students entering India on ‘Student VISA’ have to undergo investigation for HIV and admission will not be given, if found positive.
  8. 8. For applicants who have undertaken their studies in a language other than English need to have a valid IELTS/TOEFL Score.
  9. 9.We confirm the admissions of International/NRI students after verification of original certificates, medical fitness test and the payment of required fees. At any movement of time, If the student found that AIU does not approve the qualifying Degree/ Certificates, the admission of the candidate stands cancelled.

Discipline

International students should abide by all the rules of GPRDCH and the code of conduct as applicable to Indian students enrolled in the same courses.

Examination and Award of Degrees & Diplomas:

The procedure for examination, payment of examination fees, issue of mark list, issue of passing certificates and award of degrees will be the same as for the Indian students doing the same courses
