DEPARTMENT OF ORTHODONTICS & DENTOFACIAL ORTHOPAEDICS

The Department of Orthodontics is the dental speciality related to the diagnosis and treatment of malocclusion of teeth. The department has engaged in teaching, patient care and research since its inception in 2008. Ever since its beginning, the orthodontic unit was witnessing steady progress in all dimensions and evolved into an absolute wholesome. The department provides state of the art clinical care to the patients in an environment modelled after private orthodontic practice, thus facilitating best clinical training to the undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Facilities in the department include a separate undergraduate and postgraduate orthodontic clinic with 20 modernized dental chairs and clinical laboratory; reception and waiting area, record room, unique equipment laboratory, photography room, seminar room, digital cephalometrics, faculty & postgraduate rooms. The department equipped state of the art like Biostar, Hydrosolder, High intensity curing light, Diode curing light, Digital cephalogram machine, diagnostic treatment planning software like FACAD software.
