The department is involved in teaching undergraduate students of I BDS & III BDS in the subject of Oral Anatomy & Histology and Oral Pathology respectively. All the students are well placed. Apart from teaching, the department is engaged in diagnosing cases with the state of the art equipment. The modern histological lab has equipped with a semi-automatic microtome, Auto analyzer, tissue processor, Research Microscope, Pentahead Microscope and Immunohistochemical lab, used for the diagnosis and PG dissertational studies.

A well-placed department Museum with a variety of wet and dry specimens for the patients and students is displayed.

Department is having a collection of over 5000 histopathology slides and rare specimens supplements the vast array of specialized texts and Journals. The staff has published more than 60 National and International publications.

Department has conducted various CDE programs and state-level symposiums with an array of eminent speakers in the field of Oral Pathology. The Oral Pathology Department is enthusiastically waiting to organize the 18th National Conference of Forensic Odontology in 2022.
